According to British Standards (BSI) - specifically PAAS 1880 which defines the standard for autonomous vehicle testing, for an Autonomous Vehicle(AV) to be road worthy it has to to driven 12 billion miles which is practically impossible. To solve this problem SIMPLE was created with the aim to virtually simulate different scenarios and test cases, thereby saving time, money and effort. While we Understand that replacing physical testing is not possible, the aim of SIMPLE was to move the majority of testing and training of the Al to Virtual testing while supporting it with physical testing.
